Get to Know Our Kennel Assistants!

At North Cascade Veterinary Hospital, our caring kennel assistants assist our veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examination, treatment and general care of your pets. They are also the experienced team members maintaining the compassionate upkeep of the boarding facility.

Kennel Assistant, Tech Assistant

Mikaylee joined the NCVH family in July of 2016. She one of hard-working and overloaded kennel team members (and that's no exaggeration)! Not only does she fulfill the daily duties of maintaining the boardig facility and the animals therein, she also plays the role as Mel's (the head technician's) right-hand lady. Assisting with procedures, treatments, surgeries and diagnostics, Mikaylee's helping hands are stretched throughout the entire hospital as she helps to maintain everything from hospital cleanliness to sterilization of surgical tools and exercising  your beloved pets.

At some point, Mikaylee hopes to go to school and study the Veterinary Technician Program. She enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with her 3 ferrets and bottle fed baby goat named 'Sora.' She's even saving up to eventually take a trip to London!

Kennel Assistant

Meghan is our fresh face here at NCVH, just starting with us in late May 2017. She is one of our kennel team members taking on the task of caring for and maintaining the boarding facility and overall cleanliness and order of the hospital – a demanding job indeed! Meghan is currently enrolled at Skagit Valley College working on a transfer degree where she hopes to graduate from Washington State University Veterinary School! She has 2 horses at home; one 20 year-old Arabian and an 11 year-old Mustang. She also just acquired a 6 week-old Aussie-mix puppy from N.O.A.H. Not really sure she has enough to keep her busy at this point! When Meghan does find herself some spare time, she enjoys reading and riding horses.
