Opening a Bi-weekly Vaccine Clinic in Concrete!


Beginning on Wednesday, June 23 we will be running a Mobile Vaccine Clinic in Concrete! Our plans are to come to Concrete every other Wednesday and provide vaccines and flea control for pets. We are still finalizing a location, but we do know that our plan is to be there from 3pm to 5pm, every other Wednesday.

One of our veterinarians, Dr. Jason Squibb, will be the veterinarian on duty and he will do simple exams and any needed vaccines. All pet owners are welcome to come take advantage of this new service!

We will NOT be charging for examinations, and the costs for the vaccines are as follows:

  • Cat Vaccines:
    • Rabies: $12.50
    • Other feline vaccines range from $12.50 for single vaccines to $25.00 for combo vaccines
  • Dog Vaccines:
    • Rabies: $12.50
    • Other canine vaccines range from $12.50 for single vaccines to $17.00 for combo vaccines.

The idea is to provide a low cost and easy way for pet owners in and around Concrete to make sure that their pets are up to date on any needed vaccines. By holding this bi-weekly vaccine clinic pet owners are saved the time and gas to drive to Sedro-Woolley, AND because there will not be a charge for examination this will also save pet owners $44 to $60 per pet.

We will be sending out a follow-up email with the specific location for the Concrete Vaccine Clinic, the exact times and dates, as well as a complete price list for ALL vaccines.

We Are Now Offering Dog Obedience Classes!!!


Jason Squibb, DVM will be the trainer for the Dog Obedience Classes. Dr. Squibb has been a veterinarian at North Cascade Veterinary Hospital for a little more than one year. He is originally from Anacortes and he started his career with animals as a dog trainer in La Conner, where he worked for more than 12 years training puppies and dogs.

He has experience in basic obedience, personal protection, behavior modification and issues such as aggression and separation anxiety. Some of his previous clients include Ichiro from the Seattle Mariners; Nancy Wilson from “Heart”; Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam and many others!

The six week class is intended to provide an introduction to basic obedience, help establish a line of communication between dog and owner and set up a solid foundation for a fun and loving relationship with your pet!

The Dog Obedience Class is a 6 week program, each class will be one hour long. The classes will start at 6 pm (sharp!) and end at 7 pm every Thursday evening for 6 weeks. The classes will be held at North Cascade Veterinary Hospital.

If you would like to enroll in the program please be prepared to attend every class!

The first class is an introduction and basic education for owners, and for the first class you will not bring your pet with you. The next 5 lessons will be for pet and owner together and Dr. Squibb will be having you both do training exercises, focusing on various aspects of behavior.

The cost of program is $150 for all 6 weeks. The first class will be held on Thursday, June 24th.

We will limit enrollment on the class to only 6 pet owners! We will accept sign-ups on a first come, first serve basis, so be sure to call us to get enrolled right away!

Here are the dates for the entire 6 weeks:

  • First Class: Thursday, June 24
  • Second class: Thursday, July 1
  • Third class: Thursday, July 8
  • Fourth class: Thursday, July 15
  • Fifth class: Thursday, July 22
  • Sixth class: Thursday, July 29
